What started as an outside fire in-between two houses quickly extended to two dwellings. The Oceanside Fire Department made great progress and quickly knocked down the fire. Three firefighters were transported to SNCH – two for smoke inhalation and one for a knee injury.

Fire appeared to be located in the lower level of the split 2 story p/d. E-246 and L-2442 were first due. Second truck was IPFD 223 and the FAST was Freeport who was cancelled while enroute.

On 4/15/2010, Oceanside Fire Department responded to an auto accident at the intersection of Long Beach Rd. and Weidner Ave. Upon arrival, 241C advised that a person needed extrication from the vehicle. Ladder 2442 put the Hurst Tool into operation to successfully extricate that patient. Columbia Engine Company stretched a precautionary hand line and also assisted in patient care. The aided were transported to local hospitals by an Oceanside Ambulance and a 14A.
